JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for seasonal employees for our teams in the Park and Coast Unit!

The tasks in the coastal area include maintenance of the municipality's beaches, which involves green space maintenance, sand management, and public toilets. The forest and coast group also performs maintenance of forests, wetlands, grass cutting, litter picking, and waste management within the municipality. The position also includes care for the animals at Vallarna's mini-zoo and Ätran's salmon fishing.

Tasks in the grass area involve mowing and trimming grass, cleaning grass areas, and some landscaping work. Grass cutting, etc., is done according to our maintenance plan. Since we have close cooperation between the groups, you who work here may perform tasks described in the coastal and/or park area.

Tasks within the park group involve maintenance of our green spaces such as seasonal plantings, perennial plantings, trees, hedges, shrubs, and gravel areas. We also perform watering of trees, maintenance of playgrounds, litter picking, minor landscaping work, repairs, etc. The work also includes assisting in the greenhouse during peak periods.

Weekend work is included in the position at the Park and Coast Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a high school education in natural resource management with a focus on forestry, agriculture, gardening, or other education/experience that the employer finds equivalent.

You need to have professional experience in the area and also be accustomed to working with/driving the machines required for the position, such as park machines, small machines, brush cutters/trimmers, tool carriers, and tractors for e.g., sweeping, edge trimming, risk driving, and watering.

To work with us, a B driver's license (manual transmission) for a car is required, and the following competencies are meritorious:

• Brush cutter certificate RA/RB
• Experience in animal care
• BE and C driver's licenses
• Training in road work
• Experience driving with a trailer

Familiarity with digital tools is a requirement as you will need to use maps and apps.
